CJGA and ParaGolf Canada Partner to Build Junior Integration Program

-ParaGolf Canada Members to Play in Select CJGA Events-

Richmond Hill, Ontario (February 22, 2022) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is excited to announce a partnership with ParaGolf Canada for our 2022 Season, which will integrate ParaGolf Canada Members into select CJGA events.

This partnership will build upon ParaGolf Canada’s Junior Integration Program, which was developed to provide opportunities for Canadian junior golfers to be exposed to a disability-positive environment that will help them become more aware, compassionate, and helpful adults.

“It is an honour to partner with ParaGolf Canada to extend their Junior Integration Program,” said CJGA Founder and CEO Earl Fritz, “Todd and ParaGolf Canada have built an incredible program that has played an integral role in developing our youth to be more understanding, aware and compassionate to individuals with disabilities. We are excited to fuse this program into our CJGA events and help them in growing disability-positive environments.”

“ParaGolf Canada is proud to partner with the Canadian Junior Golf Association, the largest development tour in Canada,” said ParaGolf Canada Founder and CEO Todd Keirstead, “By focusing on play, the ParaGolf Canada Junior Integration Program will be helping to build a future where people of all abilities are not viewed by their perceived inabilities, but celebrated for their strengths by our next generation,” says Keirstead. “The value of enabling and empowering todays juniors towards inclusion and diversity is extremely important.”

The ParaGolf Canada Junior Integration Program was developed to provide opportunities for Canadian junior golfers to be exposed to a disability-positive environment that will help them become more aware, compassionate, and helpful adults. ParaGolf Canada will be fusing ParaGolf Canada members into Canadian Junior Golf Association Tour events through their Junior Integration Program.

“It is important that we engage ParaGolf Canada members in explaining disabilities to our junior golfers. They should be the ones to determine the message conveyed,” says Keirstead. “The sooner we expose our youth to disability, the more easily we will start to create a ripple effect of inclusivity and acceptance.”
